  • this Saturday; shifts will be covered as follows: Rose and Benson (12-2), Nate and Ashleigh and Ben (2-4), Malie and Alyssa (4-6)

  • meeting will take place this Fri. about solar panels on the VU cafe
  • members are finishing data interpretation for the solar mapping project

Education

  • speaker series is in the works

  • Ramiro will return with feedback on the proposal in a few days

Conservation

  • Jacob downloaded the meter data from the exercise equipment
  • the 20 amp outlet now has an adapter; purchasing a different monitor is not needed
  • the Rock's Edge cafe and HVAC systems will be monitored

Energy Efficiency Fund

  • Jacob and Nate talked to Ron Bailey about having a portion of retrofit savings fund new energy efficiency projects

AS Elections

  • candidates will be invited to give a short statement at the last half of our next meeting

  • general meeting will be held in VU 460, with the exception of April 21st, when it will be in VU 462B

  • the final location of the panels is the sunniest and least shaded spot available, on the VU cafe roof
  • the dedication committee needs a student member: Malie volunteered
  • dedication ceremony expected May 14
  • possible green fund discussed; savings realized from retrofits could fund new projects

  • still working on proposal

  • energy monitors were installed on exercise equipment last night
  • data will show per-minute energy use for a week
  • some exercise machines need a 220 volt monitor; will inquire with AS for funds to purchase this
  • meeting time has been changed to Tues. at 4 pm
  • door-opening buttons at ES have posters stating how much energy these devices use

Education

  • Myths of Biofuels movie attended by 30 (during dead week!); sparked a good debate
  • meeting time has been changed to Thurs. at 5 pm
  • next speaker may explore Washington state's biodiesel policies
